I've been hot and cold on the art stuff lately, I've had a good reason for it but I feel like if you don't have a constant stream of content people lose interest and the love fades like a distant relationship.
My tech is old and my drawing programs are free so I really am just doing what I can for now. I've been doing traditional stuff and process stuff to see if there is any interest in the process more then the finished piece. Sometimes I'll spend hours drawing something and hold it up like a child and be like "See, see!?!" I don't think I've hit the wall but I've been told I need to change things in order to be acknowledged. I've been hanging out with art school people and they have good tips and things. It's about the viewers connection to the art right. It's about what you value and that experience you have looking at the drawing. So Spider-Man will get some kind of emotional reaction but random Mermaids probably won't. But then I feel like if I just draw the popular thing I'm just pandering. I don't draw only for attention but I'm feeling strange about it lately.
Anyway, drawing lots of stuff. More stuff on the way! Yay! I posted a progress vid of a Mermaid on Tumblr because it's easy to upload from the tablet. DA get your app together man! bane-nascent.tumblr.com/
